- By air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, about 31 km away and connected by daily flights to Delhi and other cities; taxis run from there straight into town.
- By train: Rishikesh railway station is the closest, only about 16-17 km down the hill (Haridwar, a bigger junction with far more train options, is about 39 km away); from either station it's a short taxi or bus ride up.
- By road: Narendra Nagar sits on National Highway 94 and is well connected to the rest of Uttarakhand and the northern plains — Delhi is roughly 246 km, Chandigarh 221 km, and Meerut 180 km, with regular buses and taxis plying the route via Rishikesh.
- The property is easliy accessible by private cars right up to the porch.

About the neighbourhood
- The town is spread across alpine, forested slopes and has an unhurried, small-town feel — narrow hill roads, old colonial-era buildings, and the former royal palace ("Anneze," built in 1910) at its heart, which once hosted Indian prime ministers and Britain's last Viceroy and is today the luxury Ananda ayurvedic spa resort. Because of that legacy, Narendra Nagar has become known more for wellness tourism — yoga, meditation, spa therapies — than for a busy sightseeing circuit, and most visitors treat it as a one- or two-day peaceful stay rather than a base for a longer holiday.
- Spend time at or around Ananda in the Himalayas, one of India's best-regarded ayurvedic spa resorts, for treatments, yoga, and meditation programs (even non-guests can sometimes book day spa sessions).
- See the giant Nandi Bull statue, said to be the largest in northern India, sculpted in 1960.
- Visit the Radha Krishna Mandir, a temple from 1960 built beside a perennial freshwater spring that stays warm in winter and cool in summer.
- Walk around the old Royal Palace grounds and take in the Doon Valley and Ganga views the town was chosen for.
- Simply enjoy the forest walks and quiet — this is the main draw for most visitors.
About Narendra Nagar
Narendra Nagar is a quiet hill town in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, perched at about 1,322 metres and looking down over the Ganga and the Doon Valley. It was founded in 1919 when Maharaja Narendra Shah shifted the Tehri royal capital here for the better views and climate, and that royal connection still defines the place today: it's less a sightseeing-heavy hill station and more a peaceful wellness retreat, roughly 16-17 km from Rishikesh. Best time to visit is roughly January to May and September to December; monsoon months (July-September) bring landslide risk on the hill roads, so are best avoided.
