Built by Isprava at an altitude of approximately 1,850 metres, this four-bedroom retreat brings together British colonial-inspired architecture and the gentle beauty of its hillside setting. White façades, a green tiled roof and an expansive verandah set the scene for a stay filled with character.
Inside, upholstered furniture, earthy colours, ornate mirrors and softly lit corners create an intimate country-home atmosphere. Four spacious bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, offer restful places to retreat, while the dining area and multiple lounges bring everyone together over meals, stories and board games.

By Train: Mettupalayam Railway Station is a convenient gateway for arriving by train, followed by a taxi journey uphill to the cottage. For a more memorable arrival, take the Nilgiri Mountain Railway from Mettupalayam to Coonoor, travelling through tea estates and mountain scenery, then complete the journey by taxi. Reserve the mountain train in advance and check services for your travel dates. By Air: Coimbatore International Airport is the nearest airport serving Coonoor. From the airport, a pre-booked taxi can take you to Albany Cottage via Mettupalayam and the winding roads into the Nilgiris. - Check-in time will be 2:00 PM on the arrival date and check-out time will be 11:00 AM on the departure date.
- Requests for early check-in or late check-out would be subject to availability and at the discretion of Wanderlust Lifespaces, with additional charges.
- A refundable security deposit of ₹20,000 may be collected at check-in at the discretion of Wanderlust Lifespaces. It is not required for every stay; if collected, it will be returned within 2–3 days of check-out.
- Pets are welcome at this property! There is a per-pet cost of Rs. 6,000, plus taxes, per stay.
- Access to the kitchen is on prior request only and as per discretion of Wanderlust Lifespaces.
